Creating the Life of My Dreams: Ketaki Ghodke’s Journey as a Clinical Dietitian From a young age, I always dreamed of helping others improve their lives. Growing up in a family where my sisters pursued careers in the medical field, I was inspired to follow a similar path. However, I chose a slightly different route—becoming a Dietitian—to bring a unique perspective to health and wellness. I always had a passion for food and its impact on our bodies. I recognized that diet plays a crucial role in achieving good health, and I wanted to bridge the gap between food and health.
This passion led me to choose a career in dietetics, where I could empower others to make informed decisions about their nutrition and lifestyle. Today, I am deeply satisfied knowing that my work allows me to help people create lasting positive changes. I am Ketaki Ghodke, a Clinical Registered Dietitian with over 13 years of experience. My journey began at SNDT College of Home Science, Pune, where I earned my Bachelor’s degree (BSc) in Dietetics. After that, I pursued a Postgraduate degree in Dietetics, expanding my knowledge of this field. In 2021, I passed the Registered Dietitian (RD) exam, a national-level exam for Dietitians in India. This accomplishment earned me my RD registration number, allowing me to practice as an officially recognized Clinical Dietitian anywhere in India. Additionally, I became a Certified Diabetes Educator, enhancing my expertise in helping people manage chronic conditions like diabetes, heart disease, and obesity. Over the years, I have gained valuable experience in diverse settings. I worked for three years in a multi-specialty hospital and two and a half years in a multi-specialty clinic under Cardiologists and Diabetologists. These experiences provided me with a strong foundation in treating patients with various health conditions through diet and nutrition. In 2014, I married a doctor, and in 2016, we were blessed with a baby boy. Looking after him led me to explore online consultations, which allowed me to continue working while being a mother. During this time, I also pursued additional qualifications, including a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Research and an MBA in Hospital Administration, expanding my knowledge in healthcare management. In 2019, my husband and I established our Polyclinic, NEOHEAL POLYCLINIC, where I play a key role as the Dietitian. For the past four years, Ihave helped individuals achieve their health and wellness goals through personalized nutrition plans. I believe that good health isn’t just about eating well; it’s about lifestyle choices that promote overall well-being. I am proud to help people understand how nutrition impacts their health and guide them toward healthier habits. As a Dietitian, my role is multifaceted, and I take my responsibilities seriously. Here’s what my work involves: Assessing Nutritional Needs: I evaluate my patients’ dietary habits, lifestyle, and health goals to understand their needs. This helps me create a comprehensive plan for them to improve their diet and lifestyle. Creating Personalized Diet Plans: Based on my assessment, I design customized diet plans tailored to the specific health concerns of my patients, such as managing diabetes, controlling blood pressure, or losing weight. Providing Education: I believe in empowering my patients by educating them about healthy eating habits, portion control, and meal planning. This ensures they have the knowledge to maintain a balanced diet on their own. Monitoring Progress and Making Adjustments: I closely monitor my patients’ progress, making any necessary adjustments to their diet plans based on their needs and progress toward their health goals. Collaboration with Healthcare Professionals: I work alongside doctors, cardiologists, and diabetologists to ensure that my patients receive comprehensive care. This teamwork allows me to offer a holistic approach to health. Staying Current: As a clinical dietitian, it’s essential to stay updated with the latest nutrition research.
I continuously expand my knowledge so that I can provide evidence-based advice to my patients. I truly believe that my role as a Dietitian is not just about meal plans—it’s about helping individuals transform their lives by making informed, sustainable decisions. I am passionate about my work, and I am proud to contribute to the well-being of my patients. For diet consultations, please contact me at +918551085547.
